Last Light was captured in the magnificent Sugarpine Forest near Bago in New South Wales, Australia. Late afternoon light filters through the towering rows of pine trees, illuminating the forest floor in warm golden tones and drawing the eye deep into what once felt like an endless cathedral of trees.

The Sugarpine Forest was devastated during the catastrophic Black Summer bushfires of 2019–20, making Last Light more than simply a photograph of a beautiful forest.
